Motorpoint has applied to Cheshire West and Chester Council to convert a site in Chester into a car supermarket. The proposed Chester site would include a motor vehicle dealership, service centre, workshop, body shop, and MOT centre. Motorpoint currently operates from 22 locations across the UK and plans to expand to around 30 sites in the medium term. The company's strategic initiatives, such as investing in technology and AI, have led to higher profitability per unit. Motorpoint expects to open new stores in Spring 2027 and during the financial year 2028.

Why it matters for your car

Drivers can benefit from more convenient car purchasing and servicing options as Motorpoint expands its network.

If maintenance uncovers an engine warning light, AutoScan for Windows can read and clear standard fault codes through a compatible ELM327 adapter and show live data and freeze frame information.
