Sixty-one percent of UK drivers are willing to buy an electric vehicle sooner if the government offers more financial support. Younger drivers aged 18 to 34 are most likely to accelerate their EV purchase plans with additional incentives. Fifty-five percent of respondents feel anxious about purchasing an EV due to potential changes in government policy. Motorists are concerned about the higher upfront costs and limited public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The autumn Budget could provide clarity and confidence for drivers to make the switch to electric vehicles.
