Nissan has reintroduced the Pixo as an electric city car based on the Renault Twingo, offering up to 161 miles of range. The new model features a distinctive 'robot face' and comes in bright Wonder Purple and Gear Blue hues. Despite sharing the Twingo's core architecture, the Nissan Pixo includes unique elements like a digital instrument panel and touchscreen. Built alongside the Twingo at Renault's factory in Slovenia, the Nissan Pixo is set for delivery to European customers in early 2027. The car aims to provide an affordable entry point into electric vehicle ownership, with full pricing details due in December 2026.

Why it matters for your car

It offers a budget-friendly option for drivers looking to switch to electric vehicles.

For plug-in hybrids, AutoScan for Windows can read standard engine and emissions fault codes through a compatible ELM327 adapter; charging-system and high-voltage faults require vehicle-specific equipment.
